2012 Conference Programs

The Legislative Branch
The core of the Model Congress experience. For a weekend, live the life of a senator or representative and propose and debate potential U.S. foreign and domestic policy. Learn to compromise and legislate with your fellow peers and hosts from William & Mary.
This Conference (2012), the committees will be:

The Supreme Court
The Supreme Court is a special, exclusive program that requires the submission of a short application. Anyone interested in the interpretation of law may to apply for this program. Students will take on the role of Supreme Court justices and debate issues of contemporary importance along with the constitutionality of bills passed by the entities above.

The Executive Cabinet
Delegates in this program will tackle positions such as Secretary of State, Director of the EPA, and Secretary of Education. Together, The Cabinet will vote to sign or veto bills that have made it through the House and Senate at the conference, and work to write emergency legislation during crises.
